Jimmie G. Roberts
joined United Sheet Metal in 1980. He started at United doing
general cleanup and errands, and soon made his way to yard
maintenance and machinery repair. He continued to work his
way through the ranks, holding positions from Purchasing Agent,
Safety Officer, Vice-President, President, to his current
standing as CEO. Jimmie has been on the Board of the Directors
since 1991, and has owned the company since 1998. Additionally,
over the years Jimmie has been appointed to several positions
in the Sheet Metal Contractor Association of Washington D.C.,
including President, Treasurer, SMART Fund Chairman and Labor
Committee Chairman.
Lawrence K. Smith
President
Larry Smith has
more than 28 years experience in the HVAC field. He joined
United Sheet Metal, Inc. in 1988 as a Project Manager. In
1991 he was promoted to Senior Project Manager, and then Vice
President in charge of Project Management in 1996. He has
been involved with the Sheet Metal Contractors Association
of the District of Columbia, Inc. since 1997, and a member
of the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of the Sheet
Metal Worker's Union No. 100 of the Washington D.C. area since
1998. Mr. Smith was appointed President of United Sheet Metal,
Inc. in 2003.
Richard
S. Moy Vice President/Estimating
Richard
S. Moy joined United Sheet Metal in 1979 after graduating from Southern High School
and two years at Anne Arundel Community College. He started at United sweeping
the shop's floor, and then spent three years working both in the shop and field.
After entering United's estimating program, Rick spent a year at the Maryland
Drafting Institute. Since then he has been working his way through the ranks and
is now Vice President of Estimating. Rick serves on the Board of Directors with
the Sheet Metal Contractors Association and on the Board of Trustees for the Local
100 Pension, Health and Welfare Plan. Rick is married and has two children. |
